Lee-Koopman Projects is a public art and
design studio engaged with diverse civic space projects. It is a
partnership between Jyhling Lee and Paul Koopman. Both have a
multidisciplinary background in architecture, public art and graphic
design. The design studio is interested in the contemporary design
influences between the creative arts and architecture as well
as the socially enabling qualities of the built environment.
They
have been involved with numerous projects while living in Toronto, New
York, Rome, London, England, and are currently based in
Saskatoon and Toronto.
The
studio has recently completed Prairie Wind, Saskatoon's Centennial
Landmark Plaza and two new public art projects, Storytelling Chairs and
Five Corners, along with the publication of SASK: A Catalogue of
Contemporary Architecture in Saskatchewan. Their current projects
include three public art commissions for the cities of Regina, Waterloo
and Thunder Bay.
