Lee-Koopman Projects is a public art and architectural
design studio engaged with diverse civic space projects. It is a
partnership between Jyhling Lee and Paul Koopman. Both hold a Master of
Architecture degree from the University of Waterloo and have a
multidisciplinary background in architecture, public art and graphic
design. The design studio is interested in the contemporary design
influences between the creative arts and architecture as well as
the socially enabling qualities of the built environment. They
have been involved with numerous projects while living in
Toronto, New York, Rome, London, England, and are currently
registered
architects practicing in Saskatoon.
The studio has recently completed Prairie Wind, Saskatoon's Centennial
Landmark Plaza and two new public art projects, Storytelling Chairs and
Market Plaque Pavers. Their current projects include the design
of a new public space at Five Corners, Saskatoon; the development and
implementation of ARTLAB, Saskatoon's new interpretive public art
program; and the design of an innovative affordable housing project in
the inner city.
